Panera Bread

Went to Panera yesterday and ordered the one vegan friendly sandwich in the menu: Mediterranean Veggie, no feta, on a baguette. It's got delicious cilantro hummus and veggies. The bread is good!

Finally cooked!

More soup! I think soup is the best because it has more ingredients so I get a variety of nutrients. I made a vegetable soup with Tofurky Italian sausage.

It was very good!

Here's a pic of a dinner I had a few nights ago. Gardein fish and crab cakes with fries.

More makeup from Silk Naturals!

Sorry guys not many food posts these days. Food truck burritos have been my main meals as well as pb and j. But soon I plan to cook more on the weekends.

I have more vegan cosmetics to show you. I hope you don't mind if I post about non food subjects. I like to have an online record of my purchases. Brija haul coming soon!

Silk Naturals. I love their variety of shades and the price is right. They are having a spring sale now which is why I got these. I've been wanting Caldera and Doubloons for some time.

Some different shots to try and show the brilliant duochrome. Top to bottom: Caldera (coppery orange red prism) Ultra (warm bronzy gold) Model (tan with pink duochrome) Doubloons (light golden copper) and Adorn (light tan with blue violet duochrome).

I love the 4th one down, Doubloons! It's a light golden copper with copper, gold and red duochrome. These are all swatched over Elf Glitter Glue.

Aromaleigh Cosmetics

My latest Aromaleigh haul came about because there is currently a clearance section that has beautiful shadows going for around $3.83 for full size. I had to jump on that.
Here it is. Full sized in Pitys, Chupacabra, Hespirades and Heliades. Two free samples as well in Daphnis and Striga.

Top to bottom: Pitys, Chupacabra, Hespirades, Heliades.

Samples of Daphnis and Striga.

The All Natural Face vegan cosmetics

Love this indie company that makes as their name suggests, all natural vegan cosmetics. They have a variety of face powder, blush, eyeshadows, lip products, mascara etc. You can find them on Etsy. I have tried one of their bronzers before called Warmth which is very pretty. Today I received an eyeshadow called Cherry Bomb that I've been wanting for my collection.

I got the eyeshadow plus two samples- an eyeshadow called Mystique and a gel medium for using eyeshadow powder as eyeliner.

Cherry Bomb is a gorgeous deep red with bluish duochrome. Mystique looks grey in the jar but is a gorgeous silvery grey with light violet duochrome. So pretty!

Recipe from The Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen. I left out the pasta and used potatoes instead.
Simple yet so satisfying!
Another view of yesterday's raisin bread. So flavorful and tender.

Boiled raisin cake and tea.

3 pm and I'm beat taking care of baby. He's down for a nap right now. Looked forward to this all day. Easy to make boiled raisin cake and a hot cup of tea. I used half sultanas and half cranberries. You can find the recipe at all recipes.com.
Hank is growing up so fast. 8 weeks old now.

Wacky Cake.

If you google "wacky cake" you will find a depression era recipe for chocolate cake that uses no eggs, but instead vinegar and baking soda to make the cake rise. A lot of vegans swear by this recipe. It makes a delicious and tender cake. The frosting recipe is just margarine, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla and soymilk whipped together.
